The Valon Kone Kodiak debarkers are designed specifically for the North American market by strictly utilizing the North American standards, latest technology, and controls. The emphasis in design is placed on safe operation, robust construction, maximum uptime, and excellent debarking results. The Kodiak debarker is available in both single ring and tandem ring configurations in all ring sizes. Our Kodiak debarkers are built to last in extreme high-speed log debarking.

VK8000 Series (Heavy Duty)

VK8000 Heavy Duty modular industrial fixed ring debarker for high-speed processing

Following our well-known VK820 series, the VK8000 series is the latest and most robust debarker type we have developed. It has a number of improvements that make using and servicing the debarker easier than ever before. Compared to its smaller counterpart, the VK5000 series, the VK8000 series debarker uses larger diameter feedrolls; therefore, it is primarily designed for mills using medium and large size logs.

With our famous heavy-duty trim, debarkers are designed for large scale production with high speed debarking by using extra strong components as our standard, such as drive gears and drive shafts. Also, the feedroll pressure system is designed with the latest innovations of hydraulics and control systems used in the industry.

Our heavy-duty trim offers great flexibility to start the investment process with lower capital expenditure and boost up the debarker as needs grow. The first stage of investment can be a single rotor machine. The machine can be extended by adding a butt reducing rotor and/or a second debarking rotor when higher speeds or cleaner chips are needed. The debarker with a combination of two or three rotors is called a VK-Combi concept. The third rotor is always a butt reducer.
